When are we going to get....

Some way to record thoughts right into our computers? I lay in bed at night and my mind goes a million miles per minute.

I have this, my own blog which I post to, as well as another one called the console conspiracy and of course I write for my company's sites, and a couple other industry related sites.

So I post regularly on quite a few websites. That's because my mind doesn't stop.

If I could post just by sending my thoughts to the various sites I post on, I'd probably produce thousands more pages per month!

I was thinking about it last night in bed. The way I see my mind is that there's 3 little men sitting in my brain. One on either side and one on the middle. The sides are either creative or analytical (just as the human brain is) and the center is the gatekeeper.

The 2 sides compete for the attention of the gatekeeper, and he decides what I focus on. If the creative side wins, then I start thinking creatively. Lots of "what if"s come from there.

If the analytical side wins I usually start thinking about work. There are still some "what if"s there but it's more "What if I do this, then this should happen." Or, "if I build the spreadsheet this way, it will do this."

I've come up with some of my best ideas that way - laying in bed saying what if. (I also get those really good what if's in the bathroom - not sure why those 2 places are the 2 best places to think??)

So I've been thinking about posting here in a while, but have been really busy lately, that's why it's been a few days. Also went on holidays with the family so was gone for a week.

But now batteries are charged and I can start writing again. That's why this blog is here - to give me an outlet for all that other stuff that isn't game console or search engine related.

It's kinda like a baloon, my mind. If I don't give it an outlet, I'm sure it will just explode one day.

Well, my linux partition is now uptodate (I like Yum much better than Up2Date) so I better reboot.

Later!!

Gotta love Gmail

I've had a Gmail account for a few months now, and recently (if you didn't already know) everyone got an April Fools day present - more capacity. twice as much actually. Its funny though - My email inbox has sat at 1% capacity since then - even though I have been getting emails it's still at 1%. What that means is that the inbox is growing. And it is - I started at 2053 megs and now its at 2098 megs. It seems to grow with each email I get. I'm not complaining - in fact I like it. goodbye Hotmail!!

Trailer Trash

For a long time I've been lead to believe that the term "trailer trash" was a derogatory term. But I've been thinking about this for a while and I realized that that is not the case. In fact I believe that I am trailer trash. Not only that I'm proud to admit it. You see, to me "trailer trash" represents a person (or group of people) who just don't give a shit what anyone else thinks of them. It has nothing to do with the fact that they may or may not live in a mobile home, it has more to do with an attitude, in my opinion. For example, in the city where I live, lots of people are more concerned with keeping up with their neighbours, or what their friends think of them than should be. I've lived my life these past few years just how I want to. I don't care what others think about me or how I live my life. And we've tried to instil that into our son - that he be more concerned with how he feels and not what others think. Because let...
